What Is Affiliate Marketing?

  1. Affiliate Marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant, the network, the publisher, and the customer.
-Summing it up: you promote a product/s and receive a commission when a sale is made and is referred by you.

Where do I find a product/s?

To find a product you can do a search. For example, you could do a search on hosting and when you find a host then you would obtain an affiliate link. If you look at the bottom of the page you should see affiliates. That means us. Once you click that you will then be able to use your special affiliate link. This link is special because it tells the company who they need to pay for the commission. Without that link you don't make a penny! So be sure to use your link.

You can check these out as well. They have tons of products to chose from...

- Commission Junction
- Shareasale   << Favorite by the way. I definitely recommend this one!

How Do I get Paid?

The company you are promoting for will send you a check or direct deposit into your bank account. Whichever you chose. Some have Paypal and some will only do Paypal! Some pay twice a month and some pay only once. You can view your account info once you register to see how often and when that company pays.

How To Promote Products

You can use social media like Facebook and Twitter. If you don't have either of these you can register for them and start building your traffic aka friends lists. You can do a review about a product on your blog/website. You can even use Youtube and submit a video (which works like magic). Classifieds don't send traffic as fast as you may like but it does work. My favorite way to drive traffic are solo ads. Solo ads are when you pay someone to send a email with your link to their own personal email lists. They also guarantee a certain amount of clicks on your link. I believe this is one of the fastest ways to get some clicks and maybe even a few sales.
